A relaxing week
This was the first time we had rented a villa and it certainly won't be the last. Contacted Elena (manager) when we left the airport and again when we were 5mins away and she very kindly came and met us at estate entrance. The villa is stunning, large, bright and airy. Jackie (owner) has thought of everything you may require including inflatables for the pool!!!!!!! I have nothing negative to say....pool was super, gardens huge and immaculate and the villa was definitely luxurious. We loved it so much once we located supermarket we didn't stray very far and ate in every night bar one. A trip to Lagos is well worth it a beautiful quaint old town with lovely side streets to meander through and lots of lovely restaurants. This villa more than deserves its 5 stars
This is a fabulous, larger than average, four bed villa all with own bathrooms. It is so spacious.
The location is great if you don't want a beach holiday as it is about a 10 min drive to the beach. you definitely need a car. Would have been good to have a shower in the main suite downstairs over the corner bath but wasn't a huge problem for us as we used the other bathroom downstairs. Was fabulous to have our own dressing room, huge bathroom and bedroom with own terrace overlooking the views. So much space outside and plenty of chairs for everyone. Would definitely recommend.
Spacious, beautiful and a perfect family villa
We said 'wow' when we arrived as the pictures didn't do this villa justice. So much space inside and the outside space so perfectly kept. The pool was gleaming, so much grass green and bouncy and the fruit trees and other greedy was perfect. The library was great resource, the informarion left for guests about the surrounding area including restaurant recommendations were spot on.
Our children are 5 and 6 and couldn't stand up in a lot of the pool but were perfectly happy with little rings around them floating about. I wouldn't advise staying here with children if you don't have a car as there is nothing within an easy walking distance, but with a car, so many things are within a 10-30 minute drive away.
The house was spotlessly clean on arrival, and we would definatley recommend the villa for up to 8 people and we hope to visit again!
Great place for families with children
It's a perfect place to spend your holiday with children; spacious home and garden, full of privacy; walks around the area, paths along the fig and olive trees, nice and offered good food restaurants (also by walking distance); car is essential, 5 min to Portimao, 15 min to Lagos; very friendly and helpful owners; Jackie once again thanks for the great holiday (unfortunately only 1 week was available at that time) and thanks for the help afterwards;
Spacious luxury villa
just spent two weeks here, lovely home, shaun has great knowledge of area and willing to share!! We were made very welcome and appreciated shauns helpfulness. Everything you need in villa as described in details. Dealt with professionally by Jackie and Shaun.
Amazing villa in great location.
Just back from a two week stay in this wonderful villa. It is absolutely massive with beautiful grounds and pool. Views over countryside towards the Monchique mountains. Owners on site but not intrusive and ready to offer advice/help if required. Bit of noise from the dog kennels/pound?? across the valley during the evenings. Did most of our food shopping in Lidls or Contente about 10 mins away towards Portimao, found meat for the BBQ very cheap at Lidls and also wine was very cheap. Had some good days out at the beach; Alvor, Meia Praia (quieter towards Palmares golf end) and fabulous cove at Cabanas Velhas (just past Burgau) with great restaurant on the beach. Lagos is a beautiful town with marina and lovely cobbled streets to wander around. Had a road trip one day up into the mountains then across to Alzejur and down the west coast to Cape Vicente and back along the south coast, well worth the trip. Had meals out several times at beach restaurants and a great evening meal at Fonte de Pedro in Alcalar, would definitely recommend. Restaurant Amedeus in Alcalar is only recently opened after a refurbishment and we found the service slow and the food not as good as the Fonte de Pedro. All in all a great location for a holiday. Recommend Zit Auto for car hire, small local firm but great service.
