Location, location, location. Walking distance to the center of London. The flat has a lot of construction in and around and the accommodations are basic but who spends much time in the flat when you have all of London to explore!
Right in the thick of cool stuff
Comparing properties is always tough, it all depends on expectations. This property was awesome for our stay in London. I have come to expect smaller showers, smaller beds, and such in Europe, compared to the US. Nothing wrong with that, just differences. This flat was very close to an Underground station, so getting around London was easy. It was close to the theaters, so seeing a show was on the menu. Close to restaurants and pubs, we walked everywhere. Had the typical small shower and a US sized double bed, not the Italian “double”. Thankfully, my wife and I like to sleep close. Elevator was small, but worked great. It was the old fashioned type, where you open and close the gates. Noise from the street would not have been excessive, except London was having a heat wave, and being close to the bars and theaters, means late night patrons, and we had the windows wide open. We used ear plugs just fine. Being 5 floors up, you probably would not get the noise with the windows shut.
Everything in this flat was clean, we really enjoyed our 4 night stay. The check in n was easy, the host gave us a great restaurant recommendation, plenty of towels, a washing machine, fridge, stove. We had a lot of fun in the local area. Hope to come back!
Thank you so much. I'm so pleased you really enjoyed your time in the West End!
I really enjoyed my stay here, but be aware that there is quite a bit of construction going on. And people also bar-hop in SoHo till all hours. It can be a bit noisy. Buy some earplugs. Otherwise, it offers a tremendous location in the middle of everything. The flat isn’t gigantic, but with all that’s around you, how much time are you really gonna spend hanging out there? My favorite feat
Thank you. I'm pleased you enjoyed your time in Central London and found the flat suited your needs.I know it's not a huge flat but I hope it was good value for money for such a Central location..I hope to welcome you back on your next visit to London.
Everything you’d need for a stay in central London
Perfect accommodation for your stay in central London. Right next to the central line tube and close to all amenities. A short walk to Soho and many of the famous theatres. A clean, well maintained, well equipped West End studio with WiFi and easy access. Highly recommended !
I hope to welcome and your partner back on your next visit to London.
We booked the flat but, upon seeing it, did not stay and instead found a hotel in the neighborhood. The flat was dirty and walls were banged up looking - we just did not feel comfortable staying there. . Great location, but unsatisfactory maintenance
Thank you for your comments. It's a shame you didn't contact me after you checked in. You seemed OK at the time of welcoming you. I know you had a three hour wait at the airport with an already delayed flight...so I fully understand that after that ordeal that a hotel room with room service would have been the preferred choice(I would have done the same given the delays with travel insurance...)However, I fully inspected the flat and whilst there is some suitcase wear and tear, I thought flat was in very good order, so I have to disagree with you.The previous guests had a great time and they were there for two weeks, and again the guests after you also thought it was good value for money.yes, it's an old building but that's why we love it. It's a real flat in the West End that has welcomed over 100 plus guest from all over the world that really enjoyed staying there. The cleaner did a fantastic job, so I wish you had given more details about that issue. We do try, but it's hard when people have higher expectations than what is on offer, which to be fair is a budget flat in a safe area and not a four star hotel...I take on board your comments and wish you had let us try to sort out any issues you had...which of course we would have done,. I really just wish you had said you weren't satisfied at the time.I do hope you managed to enjoy London, despite all the travel delays and I hope you'll give us another chance should you wish to visit the UK again.
Excellent Location and Everything You Need is Provided
We met with the owner for about five minutes when we arrived- they were waiting for us and explained pertinent details of the flat as well as the location of local grocery stores and tube transportation.
The British Museum is a 5 minute walk, and everything else is right there.
The flat contains everything you need to live- comfortable bed/closet space/power outlets/nice radiator heat/free WIFI/ a fridge, washer/dryer/ range/oven/microwave/kitchen sink/pot and pans and dishes/soap/paper towels/plates/silverware/coffee press and on and on. I don't know of anything that could be added for your stay.
We went to the grocery down the street and bought eggs, rashers, porridge, fruit, milk etc and cooked a simple breakfast in-house each morning. Then packed our lunch for the day. We came back after dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the access to the tube system less than 1/2 block away.
Think of this as a reasonably priced flat that will suit the needs of a no-frills but entirely complete temporary residence for a vacation. It certainly met our expectations and beyond. We would be happy to stay here again without any reservations. we were on our honeymoon having been married the day before and have great memories of our experience. We are world travellers and have stayed in many accommodations and were completely satisfied with our stay.
Yes, there is some club across the street that opens at something like 0200 but there are thick soundproofing curtains that mute it- we only heard the noise when we went to the lavatory where the window was open.
We highly recommend this for a great London stay!
Thank you so much for your very kind words. I'm really pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the flat.I hope to welcome you back on your next visit to London.
