Cozy and Comfortable. Didn't want to leave!
Michelle was an excellent host and a pleasure to work with on her rental. This was our first RV experience and it was exactly what we wanted! Ideally located for day exploring waterfall trails/trips and the resort offered a lot of fun activities for the family. We are checking our summer schedules to book again. My Mother with her fur baby enjoyed having her own private space in the cabin. The firepit was a real treat too!
Thanks, I really appreciate you taking the time to review my place. Ya'll are always welcome and for sure special guests! So thankful that I can share my place with nice families like you!
Great little getaway!!
We enjoyed our stay in this great little place with all the comforts of home!!
We loved it. Looking forward to stay there in summer
Very nice. We will go there again
Better than expected, even with rainy days!
Thank you Michelle for sharing your place with us! The site was bigger than expected, beautiful outdoor area, even in the rain. We didn't get a fire started with wet wood but we still had a great time! The fenced in area was perfect for my Yorkie Layla as she is an escape artist and she was completely contained. My son loved the camper except for having to do quick showers lol! We were prepared for that though! Thank you again, we will definitely be back when it's warmer to take advantage of the resort amenities, everyone was so nice too!
Thank you for your review! I truly hope that you do get to come back and enjoy my get-a-way again! You are always welcome and especially, Layla!
Great getaway for mom and 3 teen/tweens
My kids (age 13, 12, 10) and I loved our stay at Michelle's adorable little place! The pictures really don't do it justice, and Michelle was an excellent host who communicated well with us at every step.
We stayed the end of December, 2018, so being able to take advantage of the resort's indoor amenities -- pool, clubhouse -- was great. I'm sure it's a lot of fun in the summer, though, with the water slide, lake, beach, and horse stables, plus the huge deck and the firepit on this property would be so nice on a summer night. My boys liked being able to have their own space in the bunkhouse, and my daughter and I liked having the homey feel of the RV. You do need to recognize going in that this is not a luxury hotel, this is an RV and bunkhouse, so there will be some quirks -- like lighting the stove, making sure not to overload the circuits, and timing your showers to make best use of a small water heater -- but Michelle covers that in her instructions to renters, so just check that out in her binder and you're good to go. The resort is an eclectic mix of RV sections, trailer-type structure sections, and what appear to be timeshare properties, but if you want to get out and stretch your legs, it's great for a morning jog/climb. It seems to be mostly older folks there, but they were all friendly to us, and they all seem to know and like Michelle, too. They are pretty strict on the rules at the pool, but a lot of that has to do with Georgia law about kids in the hot tub, sauna, and so on. Just have fun and don't act a fool and you'll be fine.
The resort is in a good location about halfway between Helen/Unicoi State Park/Anna Ruby Falls to the north and Cleveland to the south. You definitely need to check out Helen, the park, and the falls during your stay, but for necessities, the grocery stores, Walmart, so on, are in Cleveland.
Overall, I would recommend this place to a family or to a couple of couples who want a cozy place to stay that doesn't break the budget when you head to the beautiful mountains of North Georgia. You can't beat it for the price, for sure! Thanks for everything, Michelle!
Thanks so much for your review. I appreciate you choosing my place most of all and hope that you can come again in the summer. You are always welcome!
Def will stay again!!!
Thanks so much for your review. My place is always welcoming to you. Thanks for leaving my place so clean when you left. I truly appreciate you! Please come back when you can!
