Aspetos positivos: Limpeza, check-in, comunicação e localização
Villa in Castrignano del Capo, Puglia,
Three generations of our family, with 4 children between 7 and 11 were here for a week. Our initial impression was that the villa and gardens were a spectacular setting but the accommodation areas were a bit basic and not what we expected for the 'luxury' description, as has also been described in other reviews.
Be aware that the two outbuildings are the original old farm buildings/trullis. This therefore with young children gave some complications for who would sleep where.
Rocco, our host was very helpful giving recommendations for restaurants and for a boat trip to the caves with Stefano, who tailored it to our needs and was wonderful.
The kitchen was well equipped for the eleven of us for cooking and eating in for some of our lunches and evening meals and there are two big fridge freezers, which was perfect for keeping food, water and alcohol cool!
By far the star of the villa was the pool and garden area. We virtually lived outside the whole time, the outside covered area was perfect for us all to eat together and for shaded sanctuary from the heat of the day for reading etc.
In summary it is a charming place in a beautiful setting and just a little bit of maintenance and updating/replacement of some of the 'tired'/broken equipment and fittings would make a big overall difference.
In the end, we fell in love with the place and its rustic charm. Overall the positives far outweighed the negatives and we would re book it if the opportunity arose.
