The rental agreement doesn't match what the website says.
When we requested to stay at this property we let them know we had a Great Dane & a cat. They accepted us right away no problem. After receiving a rental agreement that said no pets I contacted to make sure they knew about the pets. He responded that now there would be two additional pet fees. The rental agreement also had a completely different cancellation policy. I tried to contact him via email for documentation purposes to clarify but he only wanted to communicate verbally. I expressed my concerns about not signing a separate agreement that was different than the homeaway agreement. He kept saying not to worry and kept asking me if the pets were well trained. Of course they are or they would not be indoors. Then he kept asking if they shed. I said of course they shed. He assured me if there were no damages and no big piles of pet hair then he would not charge me the pet fee for which I had never agreed to in the first place. I had to ask at least ten times for him to email me that he was not requiring me to sign the rental agreement. He finally did. On New Years eve my family and I spent the entire evening cleaning, dusting blinds, dusting furniture, pulling beds and dressers out and sweeping under them,cleaning out the refrigerator, filling soap dispensers, even vacuuming the garage carpet and sweeping out the garage, we washed and dried and put away all the towels, used a sticky lent roller on lamp shades and comforters and furniture. The next morning, New Years Day, we swept again, did one more load of towels and started the sheets. We cleaned all dishes & put away & washed all sinks, we wiped mirrors but didn't have windex. There really wasn't much left to do other than windex mirrors &clean toilets. We already paid the 1st cleaning fee but he went ahead and charged us two more pet cleanings, the cat didn't even come inside she stayed on the patio that we also lent rolled and swept. He said the house cleaner had to spend extra time cleaning blankets because of the pets. I guarantee there was less hair after we left than there was before we got there. If he wanted to pay her extra for working new years good for him but we did most of the work & paid 3 cleaning fees. The place was nice, no updated counter tops or flooring but nice TVs and 2 nice chairs. Cable kept going out in spare room. We did see cockroaches in bedrooms & bathrooms. Had to pick neighbor's, Great Dane poop out of our front yard. Don't trust, get everything in writing.
Well, we finally got our first bad revue in three and a half years of renting our condo and all because we charged a pet fee to house a great dane and a cat for two months. (Wonder what it would cost to put them up in a kennel for two months?) For starters they rented the property through Homeaway prior to informing us about the pets and failing to inform Homeaway about the pets because it does state on our listing under fees, housekeeping fee $75.00 and pet fee $30.00. Our rental agreement states, Pets are not permitted in rental units under any conditions without prior approval. (pet fee). Homeaway's rental agreement is a general agreement and most people have their own rental agreement also with slight changes. As for our housekeeper, we have been using her as our housekeeper since day one and trust anything and everything that she tells us. She is a very devout Christian and is very honest. She told us she had to hand pick hair out of the linens. She does not charge extra for Holidays, the fee is the same 365 days a year. As far as bugs, we were at the condo for two months prior to their arrival and had the entire condo completely professionally sprayed for bugs before we left. As far as the cable and dog poor in the yard, some things are out of my control but I try to be very professional about the things that are in my control.

We planned a last minute getaway. Stayed at this vacation rental and we LOVED it. It really has all you need for a stress free vacation. We loved the location because it was close enough from attractions but at the same time far enough for a quiet evening under the stars. We loved the enclosed porch. We are definitely looking at returning Tom & Bev.

The property is great and so are the neighbors and staff. Boat lot is secure, but the golf shop needs to be open to get access.

We were told that all we needed to supply was groceries, and that was true. We had a ceiling fan that did not work. Tom took care of it that day. Which made our stay more comfortable. The size and sleeping accommodations were excellent, and the patio view was lovely. We had a great time, and will be talking with him again next year.
