A Lovely Stay
We were pleasantly surprised at the location of our stay. It was tucked away in the village of Oppede in Provence. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in the French Countryside, this is one of the best places to be. This area is not home to many, so restaurants and shops are few, but it's just right for anyone who wants pure relaxation from the city. This was our first stop in our week visit to Provence and we were not disappointed.
Our host, Florence was very sweet and helpful. She was super accommodating and knowledgeable about places for us to see in the area. We enjoyed a simple breakfast each morning and lively conversations with the hosts and other guests.
The venue itself is charming and quaint with the necessary amenities needed. I would highly recommend a stay here. Locations is easy to get to other popular areas of Provence and I would say you'd get a peaceful night's sleep even during the high season in the summer months.
Rustic village, ideal for exploring the Luberon.
Driving up into small, irregular cobbled square of the tiny village, we weren't sure we had made the right choice of lodging location. After we were greeted at the door and entered the building, we knew we had found the right place for our 4 day stay. Florence and Thierry were engaging, delightful hosts. Several times they both sat with us at breakfast to help us plan our day before Thierry left for work. Florence would join us in the evening in the courtyard over drinks and appetizers when time allowed. Florence strives to please her guests. Many other towns and villages are very accessible by car for day trips, so we explored much of the Luberon before moving on north to Lyon.
