Cabin history: This historic cabin was built by Otto T. Trott, M.D. who was co founder and physician of Mountain Rescue of the U.S.A and a Ski Patrol doctor at Mt. Baker for 44 years. Dr. Trott was also an original organizer of the National Volunteer Ski Patrol. He was a famous diagnostician, surgeon, epidemiologist and tuberculosis expert and his teaching lectures are still being used today in hospitals and Universities. A ski run "Ottobahn" is named in his honor.
