No better location! Just across from City Market and in the heart of downtown, the Chateau Aspen can’t be beat. But, between the smoke from the chimney of the restaurant next-door, and the lack of AC (which is not uncommon in mini mountain towns), the horribly uncomfortable bed, and the noise coming in through the necessitated open windows, We ended up leaving a day early. We simply could not get any good sleep, including trying to nap during the days. The dresser in the master bedroom looks like and functions like it was purchased at a garage sale. The kitchen was nice, all functioning appliances and plenty of supplies. Our unit, number 14, was on the top floor and on the western corner, so perhaps we got the worst of the setting sun in the evenings, and suffered more from the heat and most work The same was true of the secondary bedroom furniture as well. We tried to save a bit of money by not staying across the street in the Aspen Square, where we normally stay. We won’t make that mistake again.
