Just the best. Our group of 9 (7 adults (3 couples) + 2 small children) fit very well in this wonderfully unique property. The house sits where two major waterways converge, so not only are the views stunning, but it's also the only house with that view. Watching the birds of prey go after their fish meals on the large sun deck while the kids played in the water was a great way to spend afternoons. The sand shelf leading out from the shoreline is extremely shallow for at least 150 yards, so swimming, even with little ones, is a breeze. The layout of the house, with its central area that leads out to the deck, is ideal for a group that likes to be together, but also needs their own spaces to retire to for naps, down time, reading, etc. All the restaurants/activity in Solomons are within an easy 5 minute walk, yet just far enough that the house feels "out on its own." Can't recommend this place enough and hope we have the opportunity to return in the future!
Thanks for a great review! You hit all the high points!
Yes, the view is magnificent and always offers “something” to see or watch. While enjoying the expansive deck that surrounds most of the house; you can move to find just the right temperature for your comfort.
We look forward for your return.
Perfect place to relax with family and enjoy a breathtaking view!
Lynda was the most gracious host and her home is an amazing place for relaxation, family time and an unbelievable view. We will always remember the gorgeous sunrise and sunset, and the special way Lynda honors the Maker of those gorgeous views. Thanks so much for letting our family enjoy your your home and some fun times crabbing. Also, thanks for being so quick to answer any questions. Blessings!!
Peaceful and scenic - great for a big family vacation.
Great property - right on the water with a beautiful view. Quiet and peaceful location. The house provided many items to make the stay more enjoyable.
The house is on a point and offers a amazing views...from the sun rising to setting over the river! It’s like being on your own little island.
Our recent visit to Sandy Point was spectacular! There is no better place for a gathering with friends and family. Amenities enough for casual or formal entertaining. I would highly recommend!
Oh I can’t agree with you more about a perfect place for family and friends for any occasion.
The location lends itself to relaxing, amazing views from wherever you are! Fishing, boating, crabbing, swimming, and enjoying the beach! It is all here for you, enjoy!
We had a great time at this home. Fantastic panoramic views of the bay and river; sunrise and sunset. Excellent layout for group activities, but roomy enough to find quiet if you want. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare full meals, with lots of spices too. Close enough to main street to walk. I would not classify all 7 bedrooms as such for the privacy you normally expect (I would say 5), but you can easily sleep 14 comfortably. Don't come for the TV; not many channels. But, I think I only saw it turned on once all week...sweet. Getting to the pocket beach requires a little maneuverability (stepping down/up the stones), but we managed quite well. Good fishing from the pier (you do not need a license if you are staying at the property) and you can get bait and tackle in town. If you are bringing a boat, consider berthing it in the marina. There is a lot of wave action (weather and boats) on the point. Grocery stores 10 minutes away. Saturday's Choice in Lexington Park and Capt. Smith's both have great seafood choices (crabs were heavy). Lots of stuff to do in the area, but we pretty much stuck to water activities this trip. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything Lynda.
P.S. You really should try "Kim's Keylime Pie" while on the Island.
Your comments are so useful.
Yes, the layout of the house is wide open with many places to get a bit of privacy. I find it so much better if I have a chance to explain the layout in person. But yes it is just a fun place to live for a week..
You are so right....Kim’s Key Pie, is great and delicious! Breakfast, lunch or snack! Live music too!
As soon as we walked in to the house, all we could say was OH.MY.GOSH. Seriously, that's all we were saying. The house appears to be sitting in the water from the family room! The true definition of a million dollar view! The house itself is fabulous and every comfort of home is at your fingertips. At low tide it's possible to walk at least fifty yards or more out into the water from the left side beach and the depth remains at about 3.5 feet. Restaurants, boat rentals and a few cute shops are all within walking distance. We hope to make it back next year!
