1. If you like peace and quiet this is the perfect spot.
2. The scenary is breathtaking.
3. Good support from management team
4. Daily housekeeping.
5. Good mobile and WiFi coverage given its remote location
6. The people are very friendly and always provide a passing wave or nod of the head.
7. Driving on the left: great if you hire a car and are used to driving in the UK.
8. The cooling sea breeze is a perfect way keeping cool. You really notice the blazing heat when the breeze drops.
9. The terrace and small garden for the one bedroom villa is lovely and very private, affording the most magical views.
1. If local by-the-road eateries are your thing, then there will plenty of choice. If like us, you prefer more traditional restaurants, then Grande Anse have plenty, although if is 1.5 hour round trip in the car. Same for supermarkets.
As you can see, the Good far outweighs the Bad. We had a wonderful time here and hope to return one day.
Our guest has provided a very good analysis of all the things that are Good about being in a place of natural rural beauty overlooking the sea. To have that and the support from the little guest house with bar and restaurant facility on hand is an added bonus. The only thing not mentioned to make it 10 Good things is Cabier beach protected by a reef at the mouth of the bay, about 100 yards away from Two Bays.
Because we are rural we get all those Good things - yes we are a bit of a way from traditional in town restaurants, but you would not get most of the Good things if there were a lot of them nearby as you would be near tourist hotels with a lot more people and buildings on your doorstep instead of a rural environment. For example around Grand Anse where there are some restaurants has a large shopping mall complex right behind it with a KFC and Pizza Hut. Other restaurants in St George's tend to be near marinas dotted around the southern coast so it would always be a drive even if you were staying there.
There are supermarkets about 20 minutes away in each direction. It is just a question of doing a shop for your basics and then supplementing off the roadside stalls and Grenville market which has loads of local produce as well as good fish (freshly landed) and meat.
We look forward to welcoming our guest back at some point as we have done with so many others.
The best quiet we have had in along time
Quiet, serene and simply the best on island to get away from life in general.
We just love it when our guests really appreciate all the reasons we had for building Two Bays at Cabier in the first place. We cannot wait to get back to Cabier ourselves! Because Cabier is so rural and relaxed with a great beach on our doorstep, we find that we and our friends who come, no matter how stressed they are when they arrive, just relax down into the slow pace of life doing nothing slowly, but with plenty to see and experience just a short drive from Two Bays if you want to do visits.
We hope we can welcome you back again for another quiet relaxing time.

An Atlantic Retreat
A peaceful retreat on the quiet side of the island. The house is lovely, with great views over the bay. Carbier Ocean Lodge manage the property and can arrange taxis, tours and car hire for you. The beach is safe to swim in and often you are the only person on it. It’s not a picture postcard Caribbean beach though - it has sea grass and waves. The house is remote so a car is essential. It has all you need to self cater, but the restaurant at Carbier Ocean Lodge is nice if you can’t be bothered.
We love it when our guests apreciate the rural ambience and beauty of Two Bays, Cabier and its surroundings. Cabier Ocean Lodge with their local staff work hard to help our guests maximise their holiday enjoyment.
I think our guests were very unlucky with the state of the tide when they stayed, as there would have been some very low and very high ones at the full moon around the equinox at the end of December, which would have made the water come higher over the protecting reef and also lower (Cabier Beach can have a big tide movement) so the sea grass, normally well below the surface and a long way out from the beach, would be more visible.
Normally, because of the protecting reef, the water in the bay is protected and calm and is Caribbean picture postcard as you can see from our photos. We swim over and back across the bay each day when we are at Two Bays and only very occasionally is it choppy with waves at high tide.
As our guest says it is great having Cabier Ocean Lodge with Terrace restaurant and bar on your doorstep when self-catering palls.
ok...great beauty and rural..suggest that ..might be better in spring when winds subside
a little too far out...7.3 miles is 40 to 45 minutes north or south. Unit nice and staff accomodating..customer service is good for housekeeping and food pretty good ...needs better beds, sofa foam and chair foam ...we added all the extra pillows to make it work...
Relaxing Grenadian Getaway!
Two Bays Villa is a little paradise (located near but not in the village of Crochu), situated high on a promontory between two bays, facing east. There was literally ALWAYS a lovely breeze and the views were spectacular. The main unit of this self-catering villa consists of a separate main bedroom with a comfortable king size bed, a fully equipped kitchen overlooking the main living area, and a large bathroom with a huge open shower area. On three sides of this unit are wide verandas which are accessed via louvered double doors from the living areas and the bedroom, opening up to the views and the breezes. Ceiling fans are in the rooms and there is AC, but truly, we never used the latter. During the day we left the doors wide open and practically lived on the porch, utilizing the beautiful teak tables, chairs, bench and swing. In the evening, before going to bed, we still had all the doors open, but left the indoor lights off. The veranda became our living area and we had all the porch lights glowing. This is where we read, played games or had a nightcap. When we finally went to bed, we closed the doors but kept the upper louvers open to continue to let the cooling night breezes in. We saw and felt no mosquitoes, and I am someone who normally attracts them! This villa also has its own swimming pool with vista views and we used it daily. Additionally, there is a lovely little white sand beach, (suitable for children), which is shared with Cabier Lodge and is also open to the community. The second bay is more a small fishing harbour area. We enjoyed watching a few local fishermen come into this bay to hand net their catch. (Incidentally, there are also two one bedroom studios which can be opened to join the main villa, or rented separately.) If you are searching for a private, quiet, updated, well maintained and tastefully decorated accommodation, this place would suit you. One does need a rental car but the roads are quite good especially compared to other Caribbean islands. Many of the recommended tourist destinations (Belmont Estate, River Antoine Rum Distillery, Grenville and the wonderful fish market, for example) are close by. The property manager, Alexandre, was also very helpful with suggestions as well as detailed information about the area. Dinners (which are excellent) and continental breakfasts CAN be had at the main lodge, but other options, such as La Sages, are nearby. We would definitely return to this accommodation!
A Magical Caribbean Villa in Grenada
We have travelled extensively over the past 40 years, firstly in all-inclusives and then more recently in condo apartments in tropical destinations. But never a villa - per se.
Your beautiful property did not disappoint us. It was magical - the three sided veranda, the breeze off the Atlantic, the infinity pool, the helpful and friendly people at Cabier - most specifically and with much praise and thanks to Alexander, Kenesha, KellyAnn, Steven, Iris, Bruno, the goats and the disastrously bad, but unforgettably awesome approach road. The entire experience was all so very special for us. All was as promised, and more.
The 270 degree vista from the unfolding doors/windows/veranda of our villa, which displays a breathtaking view of the Atlantic, was unforgettable, with the wonderful breezes which kept us cool and the bugs at bay.
The infinity pool looking out on the bay to the south was magical. We spent many days on the deck sunning, swimming and enjoying our private and unobstructed view.
Two Bays Villa should be a "Top Secret" property, in my opinion. We consider ourselves fortunate to have had the opportunity of staying here and enjoying the ambience and the friendly staff and wonderful cuisine of Cabier Ocean Lodge.
We will return. Thanks for your hospitality.
