Sentado em 11 acres privados adjacentes do Parque Estadual da Taconic dando-lhe acesso a mais de 6.000 acres de seu próprio quintal. Private Hillside Home, Comfortably Modern

One of the best homes we have every rented. We are four active couples in our sixties, who travel together every September. The house itself met and surpassed our expectations. Having said that, a very minor and temporary problem with lack of hot water, was the only flaw. No real problem with the internet. The server was up and running 97% of the time. Plenty to do in the area. Modern and very comfortable, describe the house well. Comparing it to every other home we rented, it was, by far, the most well-stocked ... dishes, glassware, etc. A few of us are cooks so the kitchen, and very spacious dining room, was the icing on the cake.

The owner was available 24/7, and was gracious, informative and eager to help. Thanks!

Beautiful home In A Private and Secluded Area

The home is tastefully designed and the owners are extremely nice. Great place for families. Three bedrooms on the main floor, with a door and hallway leading to all, so can be closed off for a family or kids. The master and other bedroom on the second floor have great views. The kitchen and dining and 2 living room areas are perfect. A really great house. When you are inside, there is so much light you almost feel like you are outside. We would come back again.

Lovely, peaceful, elegant country home

We LOVED our stay at this home! The owner was very friendly, informative, and communicative. The property itself was a wonderful escape... high quality construction and furnishings, lots of room to spread out, serene views of forests & hills (no neighbors intruding on the views), and thoughtful touches throughout the home. We used the pool with the kids nearly every day! The house was so pleasant that we cut way back on our planned drives and adventures in favor of just spending more time at the home with our family. Overall this home was a really lovely venue for a family holiday. Highly recommended!

Filthy and crumbling; Photos not Accurate

We have rented many times with Homeaway and this is the first time we have had to write an unpleasant review. We simply cannot understand the good reviews for this property as our experience was so awful. It is unfortunate that pictures cannot be submitted with this review. We submitted our pictures to Homeaway for a property complaint.

Our first issue was of cleanliness. It was apparent the house had not been cleaned, not only before we arrived but really for a very long time. The kitchen was so filthy everything was sticky, the refrigerator had food spilled inside, the cabinetry was oily and had food all over it, the floors had dust all over them, there were cob webs in the kitchen, in the ceilings of the bedrooms and all over for that matter. We had to get a cleaning crew to the place as soon as possible which the owner told us we had to pay for. We did so because we needed the crew to come back because the house was so dirty and we did not want to be left in the filth.

The deck had not been swept in ages and had cigarette butts all over, the same with the grilling area, the grill had BBQ sauce spilled all over the sides and in the prep areas so that it was so disgusting and entirely unusable.

The pool area also was filled with cigarette butts and used plastic cups on the grass, and the pool had so much rust and dirt that we had to have it cleaned before using it.

Generally the house was crumbling from a lack of maintenance. All the stone and wood at the entrance was crumbling and wobbly and unsafe as you approached, paint was peeling everywhere on the exterior of the house. The deck had not been treated in years. Paint was peeling from the ceiling of the bathrooms. The appliances where so old they barely worked. The dishwasher did not clean the dishes so we washed by hand.

The floors were all damaged by water and warped. The lawn was not grass as it looks in the photos but just weeds that had been cut and was not desirable for the kids to play on or even walk on.

Upon arrival, no air conditioning worked and it was stifling hot. There was also no hot water. We were able to fix this with the owner but it was obvious that nothing had been checked prior to our arrival.

Generally this was a horrible experience and we left early when we were able to secure other living arrangements for our overseas guests.

Resposta do proprietário: These were guests from hell and had bad intentions from the beginning. We have rented for many years and have fantastic reviews so guests can read them and judge for themselves. Woe to any future homeowner who decides to rent to these guests so we would like to warn them with our experience. Our house was available for a minimum stay of 1 week when they contacted us and asked to book for 4 nights. We were not willing to make an exception but they insisted and said that they can take it for 5 nights. We agreed and then they wanted a discount! The house was fully cleaned and prepared before they arrived. We use the same cleaning service every time. On their day of arrival, another friend check in first. Even before getting to the house they started complaining that it was dirty and wanted us to send a cleaning service. In order to keep them happy, we arranged for cleaning service to go the next day and asked them to point out all areas that needed attention. The following day they started complaining again as they expected maid service like a hotel. With multiple families with children staying in the house it will get dirty. They called the cleaning service who went again and we told them that they are responsible for paying the cleaning company, as we do not provide cleaning services during stay. We have contracted for weekly yard and pool maintenance and have never had any complaints. We have checked all appliances after they left and everything is in fine order. They did not even know how to set thermostats, so we had to walk them through when they complained about the A/C not working. They did not mention any other issues while they were staying at the house. They were supposed to check out on Monday morning and late Sunday evening they told us that they were going to leave. It also coincided with their original request when they only wanted to stay for 4 nights through Sunday and not Monday. We do not like to give unfair reviews. Our guests should read all the past reviews. This guest seemed to have had ill intentions from the beginning. We gave them a 3-star review which we believe is fair but would like to warn any owner who considers renting to them to beware and learn from our experience. We bent over backwards to accommodate them but they would not be satisfied. We encourage our future guests to read all reviews posted by our guests.

Incredible house!!

I loved the house!! The pool was perfect. The home was roomy and gorgeous!!! the view is absolutely breath taking. The host was great, nice and communicative. Will definitely rent this home again :) Highly recommended!

Everything , from my arrival until departure, was very nice. The hosts are caring, accomodating, informative and very responsive. The house is spacious and very comfortable.

The proximity to Bash Bish Falls was invaluable addition.
