Our family of four (kids ages 5 and 7) spent a great week at Ocean Avenue. The house was clean, in a great location, and felt recently updated; our check-in was a breeze; and our host was super responsive if we had any questions.
The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and we appreciated the in-room A/C units for the couple of warmer, humid evenings (but mostly just enjoyed the ocean breeze with windows open). The kitchen is well equipped and we ate most of our breakfasts and dinners on the small back patio.
But the best part is truly the location. The neighborhood is quiet, but just a short drive (or walk, if you prefer) from downtown Rockland. The small beach at the end of the street is also a great bonus option for the kids, who spent plenty of time finding shells and sea glass. We felt pretty centrally located between the hiking in Camden Hills State Park and some of the beaches around Owl's Head and points south (Drift Inn and Birch Point SP were our favorites). Make time for the transportation museum if you've got young kids.
We'd definitely stay again!
