Loved the cabin and close to Yellowstone.
We enjoyed our stay very much at this cabin. Our 4 kids loved the loft area. The kitchen was beautifully organized. Very comfortable beds. It was such a charming little cabin. Would definitely stay again!! My only complaint is that upon first entering the air freshener (I think) was very overpowering and gave me a slight headache.
Great quiet & secluded house
We were very pleased with this cabin and the location. The inside was large and very open. Several seperate sleeping areas and a seperate living ares for kids with sofa and tv. Furnishings were nice, not gross and old. Plenty of room for a large family. Trees/Woods between neighbors. Never saw or heard anyone. Easy access to the hwy. We like to stay in Island Park for easy access to West Entrance of YNP and the mountain ambience. This cabin is also pet friendly but it is VERY, VERY clean and neat. I have stayed in several in Island Park that really grossed me out but not this one. We would/will definitely stay here again. We loved it and our dogs loved it. We prefer a well kept backyard instead of a “natural” yard. Makes it easier to walk dogs in the dark and watch out for wildlife but we had NO issues at all. We have learned that this is pretty typical of cabins/yards in Island Park. There is also a nice place with a fire pit if the weather is good. Lots of parking. One important note is that most houses for rent in Island Park require you to take your own trash to the local dump or get charged an extra fee. This cabin said that when I rented but when I got there and read the book in the house it said there was a bear proof trash can outside with trash service. This was a nice surprise!! Trying to go to a dump on a vacation is bad! Also I have never had great cell service in Island Park. NO issues at all here. Our cell phones worked excellent and the wifi at the cabin was great too. You may not think this is important on vacation but our last trip in May we had an experience where we needed communication (life happens even on vacation) and we had none...not good! We also felt the price we paid for this cabin was great compared to other cabins and the quality and size of this house! I highly recommend Moose Crossing. We will be back! Be sure to follow the black & white map sent to you when you reserve the cabin. DO NOT follow GPS. It takes you 8 miles away in the middle of nowhere on an unpaved road and it was late at night and dark. USE the map. Trust me! This cabin is less than a mile off the hwy. Access is easy to the hwy. Hope to be back soon and stay at Moose Crossing again? Thanks for a great experience!
Great location, only 17 miles from the west entrance to Yellowstone.
This cute and cozy cabin was perfect for our visit to Yellowstone. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully equipped, the cabin was spotless, and the location was ideal. Dark nights and very quiet. We had all the amenities we needed including a washer, dryer and dishwasher. The host was pleasant and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again.
Moose Crossing was perfect for our stay while visiting Yellowstone.
We were six adults who love the log cabin and property. The property had everything we needed and we always felt like Moose Crossing was our home. The location gave the feeling of being in the woods and we even witnessed a moose crossing the road one morning. The 20 minute drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone was pleasant and gave you time to reflect on the activities you will do or had done that day.
Beautiful warm cozy cabin tucked into the woods. Our family enjoyed every aspect
Beautiful warm cozy cabin tucked into the woods. My family and I enjoyed the serenity of Moose Croosing. Shawna was a pleasure to work with and returned messages promptly. We were super grateful to see a cow (female moose) and her calve out the back kitchen window one morning and then the highlight of our stay the next evening, three bull moose directly across the road grazing.
