Villa Rindik - Ocean Front - In Town - grande piscina privada - Perfeito!

July 15 - 27, 2019: Perfect base in the east of Bali. Many sights within driving distance. Candidasa is the Scheveningen of the Dutch coast and you can tell by the prices of the big restaurants. 2 coffee: 7 euro's. You can eat and drink there with 4 people for around 60 euro's. For the true Bali feeling: go to one of the many Balinese restaurants. Villa Rindik with its nice swimming pool is located in the middle of the cozy main road with shops and restaurants. The bedrooms are located slightly away from the house so that it is not really quiet. The pampering of a well-cared for breakfast, made-up beds and a clean home by 2 lovely Balinesen really gives the feeling of luxury. The manager took care of a driver incl. Car (approx. 32 euro,'s per day) and good masseuzes (7 euro's for 1 hour). Absolute a perfect place te be.

Really can’t say enough good things about this place . Staff, cleanliness, location, owners, all top shelf we will definitely stay here again. Ended up being one of the highlights of our stay in Bali !

We spent a sublime 8 days here and it would be difficult, if not impossible, to stay anywhere else. First of all, it's totally private; you're not overlooked or sharing it with anyone else. Secondly, it's totally safe; there are only two ways in, either through the narrow Balinese front door or the small side gate in full view of the pool. Plus the bedrooms have a safe if you need to lock away valuables, passports etc. And there's a security man, Nyoman, who keeps his eye on the property at night from 21.00 to 05.00.

The villa is of course fab and suited the three of us down to the ground, there's plenty of space, the pool is a delight and we could make a cup of tea !

What sealed our loyalty though is the teamwork, not only of the Balinese team who looked after us at the villa every day and in every way but also the behind the scenes teamwork from Geoff and Louise back in Melbourne. We all agreed that this is the best team we have ever experienced in Bali and if you know Bali, that is quite something !

Nengah is the villa manager and worth more than his weight in gold in running. arranging, organising and answering all our quirky demands. We had massages, snorkel trips, visits to Ubud and Amed, jazz nights, local tailors and airport transfers all thanks to him.

Ni Nengah served us breakfast everyday and not only was able to navigate through our quirky dietary habits without her smile faltering for a second but also catered to our unAustralian thirst for more chillies and lashings of strong Balinese coffee. On Sundays, Ketut takes her place and somehow she knew already about our innermost dietary secrets before she even met us !

Wayan worked silently around the villa making sure the gardens, the pool and our rooms were always sparkling. Usually, most mornings they would all be finished by around 11 leaving us the villa all to ourselves until the next morning. Bliss.

We also loved the location of the villa, it's subtle rather than in your face. We could chat with the local fishermen, who work on the shingle beach below the villa and eat out at the neighbouring family run warungs. {We did splash out once to go to Vincents on jazz night and they, like many offer a pick up and drop back service for free. Nice but to tell you the truth we missed the intimacy of our 'neighbours').

If you're looking for an authentic Balinese experience then we can't recommend Villa Rindik and its team highly enough. We were truly sad to leave...

Villa Rindik exceeded our expectations. A beautiful house in a beautiful location. The staff were fantastic and nothing was a problem for them.

I can highly recommend Villa Rindik for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in a not so touristy area.

Would certainly stay there again.
