So close to the city but far away
Had a ball. The only slight negative was that we were very cold on the second night as the gas bottle in the heater ran out. But we were well-equipped with lots of woollies so no big deal. Susan was awesome to deal with. Even gave a ride from the ferry to the house for one of our group who had a dicky knee.
This was fantastic, like holiday from the fifties
The location is great, amongst the fifteen Igor so other Bach’s, can’t wait to return
Great place to stay - almost like stepping back in time. Very comfortable with all you need. Very helpful and friendly owners. Highly recommended.
Historic, quality family time. stunning location
This is an experience I would recommend to anyone who is keen on a mini family adventure! House is old but tidy and welcoming. So much history in this area you can’t help wonder what it was like as a village and who were those hard working convicts that made structures that are still there today. Stepping over to Motutapu from Rangitoto is an experience in its self! Both islands are so different but so connected. Beautiful!
Authentic. A step back in time. Well set up.
Off the grid. Didn’t miss all those connections. Peaceful, well equipped and fabulous all the gear and books taking us back to the 1920s/30s. Our hosts - couldn’t ask for better service.
A quintessential kiwi bach. Delightful heritage decor and fittings. Well curated and maintained.
A charming well designed bach, well maintained in the tradition of the kiwi/ Rangitoto bach.
Great walks in the offing around Rangitoto and across the causeway to Motutapu. Fauna and flora thriving in the pest free environment. We didn't want to leave.
