Lovely homely seaside cottage with lovely views.
Had a great stay over New Years with friends. Great location, is a bit of a walk to the seafront if not driving on the way back. House is lovely and charming, has everything you can need, even games and dvds. Would recommend to anyone, we loved our time, cosy, comfortable and would 100% be back again. 👍
Many thanks for your review, glad you enjoyed it. Hope to welcome you again soon. Regards Adrian
pretty and good sized cottage Ideal for families
The cottage is well equipped and situated high up above the bay with beautiful views. We enjoyed eating 'al-fresco' during the evening and watching the sun set.
My only disappointment about our stay at the cottage was that the downstairs bedroom had a slight damp/musty smell about it even when aired. Also the lounge floor was covered in dog's hair which wasn't particularly welcoming for our young grandchild to crawl about on.
Westward Ho! is worth staying at and appeals to all ages. The Pig on the Hill pub is definitely worth a visit and also Lynmouth which is one hour journey away from the cottage. Such a pretty part of Devon and the cream teas are delicious.
We hope to return to North Devon again in the near future.
Amazing time , wonderful views
Old Saltys is a wonderful holiday home , comfortable, spacious and the most amazing views, it is our second time and booked again for next year. Terrific.
Glorious week in Devon
Spacious, beautifully decorated cottage overlooking the bay. Lovely welcome pack including local produce much appreciated by all. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. No faults no complaints a lovely stay. Thank you
A very relaxing and homely cottage
Really enjoyed our weeks stay at old saltys. The cottage is clean and very well equipped with everything you need. The old saltys soap and shampoo is a really nice touch. The views are amazing and it's only a short walk to shops and the beach. It's perfectly situated to explore north deven and only a short drive into Cornwall. I would highly recommend a meal at the pig on the hill. We would definatly stay here again.
Our one-week spring holiday at Old Salty's in 2018
Our one week stay at Old Salty's, our second visit in two years, allowed us to enjoy a delightful & relaxing break at this superb location.
Located at in an elevated position at Northam, the property affords spectacular views over the vast Westward Ho Beach & the estuary area behind to the east, & to the west a wide seascape towards the Isle of Lundy with its ever changing evening sunset.
The property is clean, well-appointed, well-equipped, & very comfortable, ideal for a family holiday break in beautiful N. Devon.
External decking allows the wonderful views to be enjoyed whilst eating/drinking 'al-fresco' during daytime or evening.
External areas provide more than ample safe car parking space.
The Location of Old Salty's Cottage is ideal for visiting the many local amenities on foot or for exploring further afield the delights of N. Devon by car or public transport.
