Even better than we thought from the photos and rooms have been upgraded. Set in very large grounds which was perfect for the puppy, husband, two "children" and their partners! I tried hard to find something not provided but it was impossible as the cottage had absolutely everything and more that you could ever need.
Arrived after a long drive, unpacked and hit the Lazy Spa whilst the kids got to grips with the pizza oven. Had a couple of questions so had to email Angela who was very responsive and helpful each time. Great location between St Agnes and Perranporth and great for short drives to find dog walks including Trevellas Cove and the airfield. Lovely hidden location but close enough for a few short taxi rides our for dinner several evenings. Loved that all the taxi companies had notepads with the bookings and used a pencil so they could erase any cancellations, make sure you book your return journey before you get out but they tend to ask you anyway, not the place to ring and expect one straight away unless pre booked.
We celebrated a birthday and wedding anniversary whilst there and the youngsters did lots of cooking using the Aga including baking a birthday cake using the Kitchen Aid, only issue is they now want a Kitchen Aid, Lazy Spa and Pizza Oven at home (thanks Angela!). Oh not forgetting introducing them to the turntable and vinyls, took quite a bit of explaining how they worked with the needle but they also one one of them for home. Loved pulling down the cinema screen and watching movies and listening to a bit of Bruce Springsteen on our 33rd wedding anniversary after our three course meal with cocktails courtesy of the young adults.
There really are too many things to mention so just sharing a few highlights, we could have stayed a couple of weeks and still not used half the things provided. Oh and a good game of Trivial Pursuit on the final evening had us in competitive mode but pleased so say mum and dad won (and it was the modern version!).
Thanks to Angela for sharing your beautiful cottage and to James who was quick to help with a couple of items.
